hey guys i figure you probably get a lot of questions like this but i guess i just need to ease my mind

i am restoring a 1980 starcraft SS and recently found a bow mount trolling motor for 50% off at a store. (blowing out older models) too good of a deal to pass, it has a 54" shaft, now since the boat is in pieces and in storage for the winter i cant really get at it to measure it out. just hoping someone with the same or similar boat could tell me what the distance from the bow to the water line is. Or if someone is running a 54" shaft on a similar boat

thanks guys

Re: shaft length

Most small boats use a 36" shaft, Bass and flats boats use mostly 40+ inch shafts, Bay boats, ( Deep -V ) use 50 + inch shafts ( Thought this might help to compare )

Re: shaft length

I have a Lowe deep V. My bow should be just about the same height from the water as yours. My 48" shaft is just right. A little longer shaft won't matter.
