I am looking at a motor. The motor is reported not to be frozen.
There is not a tank with it. Any suggestions much appreciated.

The 58's were the first year of the downsized 4 bolt lower units. They were weaker and failed more frequently. I have several '58 10hp's in my shed with no lower units due to that fact. If you get a good LU, they're a great 'lil engine though.

Yea, the 56 and 57 models were actually better. They had the 5 bolt lower unit, that was used on the 18's.
