I have a 70 hp Merc just fitted to boat the problem I had was the power tilt would only go up and not down, I noticed the wiring on the motor had been altered, by passing the plug on the side and wiring direct to the single soleniod so after going to Merc service center I came up with this wiring diagram that fixed the problem now I have up & down tilt. will do for other motors as well
