Hello:

I'm looking at getting a 1988 17' Chris Craft Cavalier with a 3.0L MerCruiser. I had the same boat in an outboard (Merc 1250) (I realise that I was only getting about 110 at the prop).

Does 3,500 sound like a good price? I have only seen one picture as of yet (pictured).

My question is if it looks good and runs good, what kind of speed would I see? Is it possible to up-grade to a V-6?? (If Needed)

I realize its been a month but if you haven't bought it yet I bought one this summer a 1986 19 Cavalier CD with the 200hp Mercruiser for 2100 in Ohio my interior needs some work but the boat was sound as far as deck etc plus it runs really well. I was getting in the mid to high 40's from mine so a 17 with 130 should at lest be in the high 30's to low 40's.
