i have an 1983 merc 4 cylinder 2 stroke 50 hp. i was not able to get my motor to start a while back and finally got around to redoing the fuel system. i replaced all fittings , lines , bulb , fuel pump diaphram , and carb gasket kit. when i got the carbs reinstalled i got it to fire right up , however while running i now hear a blowing sound from the engine?? i checked the reeds and they seem fine, did a compression test and all were within +/- 5 at 130.. any suggestions on where else to check ? motor seems to be running fine on the muffs but i dont wanna put it in the water if what i'm hearing could be a sign of some bigger problem...
