My 9.5 hp is acting kinda strange. I bought the motor home from the vacation home to do a little work to it over the winter, since it never really ran great. I rebuilt the fuel pump first and started it up and it seemed to run good. I rebuilt the carb next with a brp evinrude carb kit and that seemed pretty easy until i tried to start it. It starts up and i can rev it a little, but after 10-15 seconds the rpms go up and it sputters and dies.I've tried the low speed jet at 3/4 turn out and 1 1/2 turns out and even more and it does the same thing. I checked the height adjustment on the new float and it is according to the repair manual. The plugs are wet when i check them after the engine dies. I appreciate any feedback about this problem. Thanks

Keep opening the slow speed needle 1/8th of a turn at a time and see what it does. Start at 1 1/2 turns out from seated. Sounds like you running out of gas. Best of luck. Rick.
