Hi I'm trying to rig the shifter cable on my kicker 8hp. I bought the adapter kit parts, cable lever and rod and I have the other parts on hand. I cannot find where to mount the lever there is no boss unless I use the one common with the throttle lever. To complicate matters, on that year motor the power pack and it's mount bracket also share the throttle lever boss. There is no other threaded boss on the block except one other smaller one that also mounts the power pack bracket. It looks like I will have remote throttle but will have to shift by hand. any one have any Ideas? Thanks......Robert ps. it's not in my service manual.
