Picked up another evinrude ski twin for $50

Just thought I would share.. I nabbed a 1969 Evinrude Ski Twin 33hp today off craigslist for $50 bucks. It's a bit dirty, however when I brought it home I immediately tried to start it and it fired right up and ran! I pulled the lower end, because the oil came out almost like an off-white putty consistancy so a lower unit rebuild is definitely in order. I also have another one of these exact motors, only a '66. $50 for a running ski-twin, I guess I got a nice deal.

Cool old motors. Basically a revived '57 35hp with a fiberglass shroud. The same cubes and everything. Fifty bucks is a good deal for a motor that runs, even if you do have to spend a few bucks to re-seal the lower unit. I'm about to undergo a rebuild on one of those lower units myslf. I found a complete kit at vintageoutboard.com for $23.00
