Remove the spark plugs.
Remove the black/yellow wire from the powerpack. If you now have spark, suspect the ignition switch (shorted out).
If still no spark, visually inspect the stator under the flywheel. If it is dripping a sticky looking substance down on the timer base and powerhead, replace it. If the stator required replacing and you now have spark, fine. If the stator looked okay or if replacement still resulted in no spark, the problem is usually a failed powerpack.
