Help....I rebuilt my fuel pump today and was so proud of myself until I noticed a small nylon part (very thin shaft about 1/2 in long with a thin cap about 1/4+ inches long.) It must have fallen out and I did not see it fall out so I have no idea where it fits. There is a replacement for this in the repair kit. Somewhere out there, there has to be an exploded diagram of that fuel pump so I can see where this part is supposed to fit....Most of the parts vendors have a picture of the fuel pump but not its innards. I won't buy a manual until I can be assured that I can find the diagram I am looking for. Your help would be greatly appreciated.....BC

There are good diagrams out there but can't remember where. Hopefully somebody will chime in as to where they are. I never repaired those pumps as it wasn't cost effective labor wise. Just replaced them.

It's cost effective for me. The kit was $20.00 and the new unit is $70.00. I have the time as I am retired. It's about a 15 minute job if you don't mess up and not notice a part that has fallen out.....haha
