Hey all, I've cleaned up and got the ignition system ready to test, but it was raining all day, so I decided to check the lower unit. Long story short, only water came out. Tore it apart (pis to follow) and found that the seals are all shot. No major rusting though. The shaft and gears are in good shape (so I think).

So, are these parts still availible - prop shaft seal at casing, O-ring for shaft housing, shaft bushings (Bronze?), seal for the screw that releases the shaft housing, new driveshaft bearing, drive shaft seal just above bearing???

One thing I must say, is that these motors are the easiest things I have ever worked on. Required tool kit for the boat - a flathead screw driver and pair of pliers!

Thanks, Don.

You will probably not find a seal kit for it. Best bet is to take all of your seals, etc. to a bearing supply shop like Kaman Bearing and have them mic them up to match.
