mercury 50 hp. sn# A1586589 what year?

just got a mercucy 50 hp motor cant find out what year it is the sn# is A1586589 can any one please help thank you so much

its a 4cyl. not 3 so is it still 1985

Well thanks for providing as much information as you could in your first post.

Are you sure this is a Mercury or is it possible that it is a Mariner, built by Mercury? I cannot see a Mercury 4 cyl. 50hp with that s/n range. Maybe someone else can assist you.

sorry the sn# is A158659 and ya it a mercury
