1994 Mercury 30hp dies

I have a 1994 mercury 30hp 2 cyl. 2 stroke electric start that will start and run good for 5-10 min. and then die.After it sits for awhile it will start again.
After it dies there is no spark to either cylinder.
Any suggestions would be appreciated.

I was just told it probably needs a new power pack , but because they didn't make this model very long there is no replacement part for it..WTF?
Could this be the problem? And if it is, how can there not be a replacement?
