Please help.
I'm geting ready to pump antifreeze threw my water system. I've was told several different ways to winterize my boat but thought this was the way to go. I was told to run engine for several min and let the engine build up heat so the thermostat will open up and once that does to switch over to the antifreeze and run it until the antifreeze starts to come out the exhaust . Then to shut engine off and is ready to go until next season . Has anyone tried this and is it the way to go.
Thank for your help.

Re: Winterizing

You will probably get different opinions on this subject but it has worked for me without fail. Use the full strength antifreeze because once you start adding it to the block, it will dilute and you dont want to run the risk of underprotection

Ayuh,.... Welcome Aboard,....

You'll stand a 50/ 50 chance of a cracked block come spring...

If ya Don't drain the block 1st, No, it's Not the Best way...
If ya Do drain the block 1st, there's really no need for the antifreeze after that....
