I purchased a 1986 Grummam, 16 foot boat. Has walk thru windsheild. The live well pump does not work. I'm not sure where the pump is. I think right under the live well. Could some one help me and also give me some kinda idea how the piping runs thru the boat ? Thanks Art

Re: Live well

Chances are the pump is NOT under the livewell unless the livewell is at the back of the boat. Pumps are not "lift" pumps so they cannot suck water up hill. The inlet to the pump is therefore below the water line at the stern when the boat is at rest. This allows water into the pump so it can be pushed to the livewell. Look in the bilge area or follow the inlet line from the stern. Check for an inline fuse or a fuse in the fuse panel. It may also be the pump itself is bad or is simply jammed by debris.
