1984 mariner ,2 stroke ,6 cyl. 90 hp ,
Starts after a few tries then runs for about 3 mins before tapering down to not running (both out of water with ears and on the lake .)
Have considered the fuel filter possibly needs changing, just not sure where it is located and what parts I will need to replace or remedy this possibility.Background info on this motor is it sat for 3 years outside covered with tarp . (changed impeller & gear oil new clean gas-oil , and gas treatment (stabilizer) for marine applications.) model number for engine is 70904 if this helps . What suggestions to check besides gas filter ,and can anyone show and tell me where the fuel filter is located on this motor.
