I have a 2006 Volvo 4.3 gl-e with a sx-m1 drive unit. I replaced the impeller and thermostat this year. I started my engine and the alarm stayed on the entire time the engine ran. I ran the boat for five minutes to heat the oil up. The temp guage showed 150-175 and stayed there. The oil pressure was normal. Is the alarm sensor defective or what should I be looking for?

Re: Temp/Oil alarm will not shut off

Disconnect the wire from the oil pressure SWITCH, the engine coolant temp switch and each of the exhaust temp switches one at a time with the engine running and see which one shuts off the alarm.

Note I mentioned switch? It's not the same as the gauge sender, two different units. They all have a tan with a black strip wire going to them.
