I am trying to change the oil in the lower unit of my 150 hp 1999 outboard and can't find a screw driver big enough to fit the screws. I feel like a dumb *** for asking this but I bought the biggest screw driver at Home Depot and it is too small and I was wondering if there is a specific one I have to get? Thanks in advance for any help.

I don't know of a specific tool available, but there may be. I use a screwdriver that is about 2 feet long. LOL! I once had to use a ratchet with a screw driver adapter and the widest flathead driver I had because the oil fill screw was stuck. Other than that, any large screwdriver should work.

Harbor Freight sells big gorilla sized screwdrivers that are just what you need. If you use a screwdriver that's too small for the slot you can mess up the screw head. Good Luck!:)

the best thing to use is a inpact tool.you hit it with a hammer and it loosens the screw.do the reverse to tighten it.
