This might be a stupid question but i am new to boats in general so here goes...
I recently acquired a 2001 Sea Ray 18 ft and was wondering how you go about cleaning the interior. Now the marina is supposed to be cleaning the boat but do to certain circumstances that have arise like having a dirty boat every time i go there. I obviously do not believe they are doing the job. Also makes me wonder if they are flushing the engine but that's another story.
Do you normally hose down the interior with water and then open the drain plug? I wonder because I am worried that the carpet will withhold moisture. Is that typical on how you clean the interior? Do you use towels and cleaners to clean the dirt? How About the vinyl seats and the engine compartment.
I'm just worried about leaving wet carpet in the boat.

I don't hose anything inside the boat. For the vinyl, i use scotch brite (test an unseen area to see if it works okay on your material) and magic erasers. Armor All & Windex otherwise. Try to keep the old girl as dry as possible inside.
