I have been haveing some starting issues with my engine when it is cold but just noticed looking on the internet, my battery is not the right size. Would that have something to do with the starting. Also what size battery do you guys use for your 200 hp fitch outboard.

675 CCA or 845 MCA are minimum requirements. This could have something to do with your cold starting if your battery isn't this size.

If voltage into ECM drops below 10.8 when cranking, the ECM shuts down.

Bought a bigger battery today and the boat started up great. I bought a Grou 424 1000 MCA. 800 something cold cranking amps. Sure makes a difference. It started up and idle great. The other day with theold batter it sarted up and cut out about 4 5 times. thanks again. Battery Wharehouse sold them for tax included 119.00. Interstate.
