2004 5.0 running bad over 3900 RPM

Hey guys looking for some help. Got a 2004 5.0 that started with a idle problem, rebuilt the carb, idle prob disappeard. Now it acts like its running out of gas over 3800 RPM and hesitates on accel. New plugs, cap and rotor. Could it be the electric fuel pump? It is not a prop issue, nothing was changed there. Any other thoughts?

As far as the hesitation, did you have the accelerator pump with the adjustable holes on the pump lever? Was there a check ball in the acc. pump bore when you disassembled? Did you remove and clean the power valve? Are you sure the float level is set correctly to the dimple on the float? Sounds like fuel starvation to me...
