Hello all i just purcashed a 1971 silverline with a tri-hull the Boat is in ok shape but i dont know if the outboard is two or fourstroke? Its a 50hp johnson loop charged sea horse. The gas tank is mounted on the left under the motor the thing is i cant take the tank out to check the gas oh and theres a gas cap on the outside left of the boat that goes str8 into the tank so if it is twostroke i dont see how id mix it beacuse its mounted.can someone help me :confused::mad:

If it is a loop charged motor it is a two-stroke. To mix the gas, pour in the oil, then the required amount of gas to make a 50:1 mix ratio. The modern TC-W3 oils are formulated to mix well without shaking up the whole boat. If the tank is bone-dry, it might be a good idea to put in a gallon of gas, then oil and remaining gas.
