I have a Cruisair System with what I guess is the SMX II wall mounted controller. 
This weekend it started acting funny - it kept climbing all the way back up to 99. You could use the down arrow to lower the set temperature, but as soon as you let off it climbs right back up. I am assuming something is wrong in the panel itself? Will spraying it out with contact cleaner hurt it any more? Are there any other options if I need to replace it? $245 for a thermostat just seems ridiculous!
