2010 9.9 merc kicker won,t start

Motor was running but always hard to start now just turns over dosen't fire. Took plugs out they looked to be dry thinking it was a carb issue! Then check the plugs they were both sparking. They were sparking with the kill swicth on and off????? What dose the kill swicth kill, Spark? or what? Put fuel in the clylinders put plugs in still no fire! If the float was stuck by adding fuel I would think it should fire. Is there any electronics that might cause this motor not to run?

ANY IDEA's could use any help!!

A 2010 should still be under warranty. NO.???

You didn't say if it was a 2 or a 4 stroke. How did you put it away last fall? Sure sounds like fuel to me. There is a hex
screw on the side of the carb bowl, if you loosen or remove it fuel should run out when you pump the prime bulb. If it doesn't then the rubber tipped float valve is stuck and gas can't get into the carb bowl. The fact that the kill switch doesn't work is not good though, but if you have spark that is all you need. I also find that the 4's need to have a bit of throttle to fire imeadiatly, I don't know what kind of choke you have on the 2010, my 05 has the good old butterfly, and mine barly has to crank before it is running, except cold weather. If it is a 4 stroke squirt some gas into the carb I will bet that it will fire. Caution GAS is explosive in confined spaces!!!!!! GOOD LUCK!

It is a four stroke, electric start
I cleaned the carb twice stuck gas line on and saw gas shooting out the small tube. Installed the carb nothing. checked the plugs both were sparking still nothing. shot some stating fluid in the carbs nothing.

The dealer you brought it from. tell them to make it right.
When you start working on things still under warranty, you are Toast.
