Where to find a 90 elbow for the backdraft hose on 1971 115 carb?

Does anyone know where I can find a 90 degree elbow fitting for a 1971 1150? I am rebuilding this motor and needed to replacema dry rot backdraft line. As I was gently twisting the hose off, the plastic elbow broke off. Doh! I'm thinking of different scenarios in case there is no way of getting one including tapping the hole with a 10-32 tap and finding a fitting to fit. What a pain.

Mercury did not introduce the backdrag carbs until 1975. Your not talking about the oil recirculation lines by chance?

Edit: Never mind about the recurc lines, they are on the block

The sidebowl and back drag look a lot alike but I know for a fact this is a back drag type carburetor.
The SN is 3027266 and is a 71' 1150.

Those are a little later model carbs as the carbs with the economizer hose & elbows came on serial group 5 engines (serial #4112635 and up) but I have never seen any made with plastic elbow as most are metal....

The picture you posted sure looks like the WMK41 on my 1984 115. On the front of the fuel bowl it will list the carb type. It is hidden by the plastic piece in your picture. To me in your picture it looks like 'something'1 2A which on my engine is the middle carb and has 0.074 jets (if like mine it is WMK41). I just eliminated the economizer/backdrag on mine by inserting a BB in each line. Rather than fix it maybe you should just plug it? Search on the forum and you'll find a post(s) to eliminate it.

Yea.. those are the backdraft carb's. As stated.. plug em with a bb and pull the top vent jet out. It was ment to run lean at mid throttle.. 2 strokes dont like lean and it burns em up..

If you have a 1984 115 your carbs will not have the choke system nor will they have the screens. 1984 engines used an enrichment system that added extra fuel into the transfer port.

I dug thru my carb box and those are late model carbs used on 1981 and up engines. If you want a elbow pm me and will send ya one. You can still install the choke flaps as the carbs are drilled for shaft..

I appreciate you looking for me. I'm just curious what those carbs are doing on this motor. Im glad I didn't order the carb kits according to the sn of the motor. Btw, they are wmk42, wmk41.
