I've got an old 14 ft aluminum v-hull running a 1972 Johnson 25 hp tiller steer. I've got a pile of old cables, controls, and steering parts. What I don't have is a stick steer among the pile. Just looking for ideas here. The motor was set up for the old cable & pulley system. I'd love to set this little boat up with stick steer and controls. How would you do it?

I'd love to put one of those on it but this boat probably isn't worth the price of a new stick steer and it's cables. I'm kinda looking for some idea to use one of the steering cables & parts I already have available. I'm leaning toward converting something into a stick steer. It's gotta be something I can swing the motor by moving the stick no more than 180 degrees, preferably much less. I guess I could experiment with a few things to figure it out.
