hi guys, im looking at a used merc 9.8 hp long shaft, the owner says it starts fine but under load seems to only run on one cylinder....any suggestions as to what it could be, should i look else ware for a motor
any suggestions would be great..

What year as the some of the 1970's had a phase ignition that had points.

Thats a 1970-72 engine by the decals.....
