First time out on the lake after winterizing, though I have started it up with the muffs on land. The problem I am having is the boat will run up to 10 mph but as soon as I go to give her throttle it bogs down and wants to stall, also seems to take a while to start, any ideas? Btw I have a 19ft cuddy powered by a 4.3 Volvo-Penta 290 single prop.Thanks.

Re: No WOT

I am betting old gas probably clogged your primary and or secondary fuel passages or has water in it. Check all fuel filters, water seperator for water, and use fresh gas. It could be many other things, but that is most likely it and a good place to start.

Mahoney. We could retire on $ 50 for each old gas and varnish job that happens every year.
