94 OD won't go up unless you tap on it. Loose connection? Solenoid? Any ideas?

Hey Don: I am actually asking for a friend. He used the boat this weekend and only told me he was tapping on it. I thought the drive but then thought it must be the motor that puts it up and down and he thought it might be the brushes in the motor. My thought is either the connector or a solenoid. What do you think?

go with all three
brushes, loose connection, corrosion

Ayuh,.... More than Likely corroded connections...

A testlight will tell ya where the Problem is...
