Bought used engine that dealer is installing..would like to know what prop is correct to purchase and whether I should connect the VRO system (vs using premix with a permanent on board tank). Dealer is suggesting not but boating acquaintance says premix in a permanent 38 gal tank is trouble.

Hard to reccomend a prop without knowing more info.

What is the WOT RPM? Of course, you will not know this until the motor is installed on the boat. Other things to consider is what you will be doing with the boat mainly. May need a couple props, for different activities. Most important thing is that the WOT RPM falls within the correct reccomended range.

The VRO" disconnect or not" debate continues. I am not going to comment on this, but there is some interesting reading in the FAQs regarding this.
