Cracked skeg 90hp johnson 2001

It appears the skeg on my johnson has a crack about a sixteenth of an inch wide and
several inches long. I didn`t see it when i bought the boat. It must have been painted over good. Is there some type of repair
material to repair it and make it stronger or at least make it hardly noticeable

Get it TIG welded by someone who's done this before.
