good evening i am a first time user i have replaced my evinrude 4 str 1999 40 hp wich as overheated and melted the coils and possibly the cdi with a 1985 50 hp mercury 3 cyl so far every thing seems to work ok on the motor side of the trottle control .The front of the Windmere trottle control has a app. 1/2 inch round plug with 5 male connections to the gauges the only diagram i found on the net
is for a 3 wire connection W=+/black=-/brw=tach .My connector has a 5 wire has shown
violet o o oBK
BRW/wht
GRY o o BRW
My question is wath part number for the harness and wath is the color code for these wires i would appreciate a diagram
secondly i have a trim gauge can it be wired to this motor and how to.My engine serial number is A709290
