I have a 1958 35hp Evinrude motor that I would like checked out to see if it is worth paying to get repaired.

Is there any PROFESSIONAL motor repair places in the Saginaw, Flint, Bay City or Midland areas of Michigan?

Thanks in advance. :)

Most dealers don't want to mess with the older motors. We have one in Grand Rapids called Van's - and they know the old motors. You could borrow a compression tester and check to see if the motor has 110+psi and even on both cylinders. If it does, most everything else can be fixed for less than $200.

Thank you for your reply. :)

The problem is that I have no way of starting it and the spark plug wires are bad. It came with my boat. Never ran it.

Maybe I will ask around Bay City. Lots of marinas there. Maybe they fix 'em.

Thanks.
