try useing an impact gun.if yoou have one to use.I have used 8o foot pounds to loosen this nut to no avail. Any suggestions? Will heating the nut cause problems? Thanks, Art
I would avoid using heat on any outboard powerhead. I'm sure others have suggestions but if it rust or corrosion PB Blaster sprayed on is a good nut loosener. Other than that I'd go with a pneumatic (air powered) impact wrench that will kick around 120 ft. lbs. or more. I don't have a clue what torque spec's are for flywheel nuts but I've had as much difficulty getting them off as I have getting lug nuts off of vehicles.
