Fuel mileage is very dependent on weather and sea conditions. The rule is 1/3 fuel to go out, 1/3 fuel to come home, and 1/3 fuel in reserve. We can give you a gross fuel use figure. Figure your motor's HP divided by 10 gal/hour. So if you have a 90HP motor, and you can cruise at 30 MPH, you will use 9 gallons in one hour to make the crossing. Be sure to take 27 gallons with you for round trip.
