Garmin GPS Inland Lakes Vision maps ??

I have A Garmin nuvi 885t gps I use in my car,Im thinking of using this on my boat when I go to Lake Powell next week. I was wondering how well the Inland Lakes Vision maps works, and if its worth the $99 download? has anyone done this? See it here > https://buy.garmin.com/shop/shop.do?pID=9850

I can't answer your question, but I have one of my own: Is this unit at least water resistant?

That is a good question. I can't find anything in the manual or on the Garmin website that says it is or is not water resistant, therefore I'm thinking this was a bad idea to take this on the boat, thanks for your help.

Trust me, if it was suitable for a boat, Garmin would be letting you know it since they would have put more $ into the unit (and charged you more, of course), and the marketing would follow.
