Just got a boat, it has a 1965 Evinrude 18hp Fastwin 18502. I really know next to nothing......ok, I know nothing about outboard engines :p and today I noticed a little bit of oil coming out of the 3 little holes on the water by-pass cover on the lower unit (figure #19) http://www.marineengine.com/parts/vintage-evinrude-johnson/278647/catalog.html?http://www.marineengine.com/parts/vintage-evinrude-johnson/278647/27864700001.htm It was a clearish-yellow fluid...almost looked like water, but had a slight oil consistency to it. Is that normal?? Should I be concerned at all??

Not sure about the yellow fluid, but probably a good time to get yourself a service manual for your motor.

It'll help you get acquainted with your motor and how to keep it happy.
