Just wondering if anyone has any feed back on this motor, I'm looking at a carolina skiff with this motor and I have no experiance with a jet drive. Thanks in advance for any comments good or bad.

Good motor, but did this come from the factory as a jet, or was it converted to one? You need to know because a motor loses about 30% of it's HP when a pump is bolted on, so if it was converted to a pump the actual HP will be in 40 to 45 range. If it came with the jet then it will be rated for the jet and the 30% loss of HP and the powerhead would a 90.

Also where do you live and how do plan to use the boat? If you want to run very shallow water most, or all of the time, then a pump may be what you need. If you don't plan to use the boat in this way then pass on it.

Hi Ondarvr thanks for the input, I live in PA but plan on using the boat in the back bays of North wildwood nj & maybe some lake use here in pa. I will have to check to see if it was a conversion or not. Thanks again.
