I got a few questions I'm hoping someone can answer for me . I have had to do work on the timer base of this engine and have set the trigger about a 1/3 of an inch from the flywheel. The motor does run, but I have to reset the pilot jet, kinda stumbles at lower rpm. I will reset to 1 1/2 turns later . My question is even though the motor runs, should the timer base trigger be set closer to the flywheel (i.e. the thickness of one business card from the flywheel) ? Also. should there be a cotter pin that goes through the nose of the prop. I see the hole and can see right through it, so there is no cotter pin in there right now. Also is there a past thread on here, that someone can link me to, as to the proper starting procedure for this motor ? Thank you for any and all help you can advise me on.
