i having a few problems and i hoping someone can give me a hand i have a 1969 mercury 100hp i trying to find out what set up i have on it i have the book but it is not telling me and i am trying to set the timing cause i broke the timung belt i think all i have to do it is set the flywheel to the distribiter

Maybe you have an 'aftermarket' book?

There are alignment marks on both the flywheel and the distributor pulley.

Search the forum for 'distributor pulley alignment' and see what you find, there should be a number of posting by Clam's, with detailed instructions on belt replacement, and the link and sync of distributor motors. Sorry, I don't remember Clam's last name.
