Is there a way to simply test for a spark on a 1991 40 hp Evinrude at the plugs?? can you pull the plugs and with the spark plug wires on the plugs turn engine over and check for spark or will this damage the system.
The motor ran a week ago in the test barrel after I replaced the T-stat came up to proper temp no over heat ect.
Shut motor off Then I went out Sat. to recheck motor, made a small pop then would not start just engages and spins, plugs are wet, kill switch is engaged,fuel lines no cracks , bulb pumps up tight.
Any help would be nice.
