This is my project that I am working on. She is a 1959 Catamaran (Manufacturer Unknown) although I am leaning towards her being a Glasspar. I am just looking for final conformation.
I used Rustoleum Industrial Paint Hunter Green and Gloss White with no hardener agent added. The paint took a long time to really dry well (upwards of 2 weeks). I utilized roll and tip application method. I am very happy with results so far, she is not perfect but with my ?skill level? going into this; I could not have expected a result this nice.
Here is mine, I used a harbor freight HVLP sprayer, thinned the rustoleum with penetrol, wet sanded between each coat, total of 4 coats. Turned out great.
Hull is done with 3 coats of Pettit EasyPoxy with Acrylic Enamel Hardener added.
Trailer is Primed with Rustoleum Rusty Metal Primer and Two coats of Rustoleum Oil Based with added Hardener
Topside is 3 coats of Rustoleum Oil Based with added hardener that I custom mixed to get the Baby Blue color.
The formula I use is on Page #10 of my My Flamingo thread listed in my signature below.
If anyone has a picture of the Rustolium Topside Red I would love to see it! I have some for my Lund and am interested in seeing how close of a match it is.
