I'm a newbie to this site. I hope I have posted in the right place.
I have to service/clean the fuel tank on this boat. Fuel is cloudy and contains silt. Here's the routine; clean carb, engine runs fine for short runs for a few days and then floods on cold start...clean the carb and start the cycle all over again. I have checked and each time I get the problem the needle is stuck open and there is silt in the fuel bowl.
Any advice on how to clean out the tank, or perhaps remove it from the boat? Short of disassembly of the dashboard, there seems to be no way to get the thing out. Also the fuel gauge sending unit is sick so this would be a good time to fix that too.
Tnx in advance.
