My Avon Redseal has developed a leak at a tube seam near the floor. Anyone here ever tackle one of these repairs? I plan to:
1. Using a heat gun, peel the doubler from the bottom of the tube in the area of the leak.
2. Flip the boat over and peel the floor off the tube to track the exact location of the leak.
3. Reglue the seam, 2 part glue.
4. Reglue floor and doubler.
Any hints would be appreciated.
Never had a puncture on this boat, when I saw it deflated I thought something had finally gotten to it. Turns out to be a seam. I wish the problem was a puncture, just patch and you're all done. Oh well, time for some inflatable surgery.
