Love to camp by boat ramp...

We live by a small lake in Nebraska, we enjoy camping at the lake and always try to get a camping spot so we can sit and watch the boats being loaded and unloaded. Make for a very enjoyable weekend. We were camping last weekend and a guy was having troubles backing his boat to the ramp, but after about 4 tries he finally got it into the water. Then he wasn't far enough to get it off the trailer so he kept telling the wife to back up more. Each time she would only move an inch or so. After about 5 or 6 tries he got it off the trailer. So the wife pulled the truck and trailer up to park. The guy got into the boat and pushed it away from the dock and proceeded to start it. Tried and tried but no luck starting. It was floating further and further away from the dock. The wife and child were standing on the end of the dock waiting for him to come pick them up. He had drifted about 100 yards away from the dock when he finally got the boat started, headed for the dock and we could hear his wife standing on the dock "Did you get it started"????? It really made for some fun entertainment.

One thing I have learned this, my novice, year, is that my motor, a trusty old 1993 Johnson 90 hp, will start up easily at the dock, but get 50 feet away from a dock, and it really likes to mess with me:rolleyes:

"Here's your sign" comes to my mind about the guys wife.

I can be working on a piece of equipment with my tools and parts all laid out. Then someone WILL always say "Are you fixing it?"

In my case it's a valid question. There is a difference between tearing something apart and actually "fixing" it. (Or at least that's what I've been told.) :D

yep, 'nuff said.
