Re: Prayers appreciated ...

My families thoughts and prayers go out to you and the child's family.

"Do not stand at my grave and weep, I am not there, I do not sleep. I am a thousand winds that blow; I am the diamond glints on the snow. I am the sunlight that ripened grain; I am the gentle autumns?s rain. When you awaken in the morning?s hush, I am the swift uplifting rush, Of quiet birds in circled flight. I am the soft star that shines at night. Do not stand at my grave and cry. I am not there; I did not die."

That is horrible. Being in an area where similar has recently happened last week I sincerely understand.

You got it Art.

Apparently he was outside playing in their backyard when he slipped and fell and was swepted into a drain by the water. Several men saw it happen and rushed to pull him out, but the force of the water kept him pinned in the drain and submerged for about 10 minutes. Tough all the way around. The family is taking it about as well as possible ... a tough loss for everyone. I feel for the rescuers as well ...

Tend to wonder what the purpose of that was. But, who are we to question. Prayers sent.....

Yep, I agree, but 1 Cor 13 tells us that we don't see things clearly right now, there are things that just do not make sense to us, but one day we will understand. Till then there are 3 things that remain, faith, hope, and love, and the greatest is love ... love for God, love for family and friends, and even love for our enemies. Part of what I will be sharing at the 9-11 Memorial Service representing our Fire Department.
