I have a Glasstron SSV 189 the transom is all good except for the outside lower corners on both sides.
The rot is about 1/3 up and about 4 to 5 inches in. The rest is wet but good.
Having not allot of experience with transom repair ill ask the question and let you be the judge.
Could i fabricate a outer skin over the bad spots to make a form and fill the rotted voids with epoxy
or sea cast. And then re glass the transom.
Would it bond to the old transom wood.
Would save allot of time not having to tear out all the transom...Plus i'm on a tight budget.
O by the way the transom doesn't go from side to side of the boat.
