So we bought a Mako with a Yamaha 115hp outboard motor. The original gas tank is under the center console and the previous owner didnt use it for the last 2 years. We pulled the console, ran new hoses and lines and checked the tank with an optic camera to make sure tank was clean. So now when motor runs it will be going fine then it starts bogging. Sometimes it dies. When we check the filters there is a brownish goo and little bit of hair(looks like its from a rodent). We were told its going to take a few times of filling and running the tank to get through all the crap. Could this really be the reason for the bogging and dying. If so is there a quicker, more cost effective way to flush through the system without pulling the tank? Thanks for help:)
