Over voltage alarm sounds when engine throttles up (occasionally at low idle as well)

Have been experiencing what appears to be an over voltage alarm when accelerating (throttling up). defective starter battery has been changed and fault appears to be isolated to the alternator(s)/voltage regulator(s). With twin engines I have not been able to isolate fault further. Any ideas???

What engines are you running, year, make, model, serial #s? Or you could watch the voltmeters as you throttle up. Then test the regulator of the culprit alternator.
You also mentioned a defective starter battery has been changed. Was the starter or the battery changed? Either could have been damaged by the problem you are now getting.
Did you verify correct wiring to the batteries and switches/isolators when done with the battery? That's a lesser possibility in this case, but it could be involved.
