Piston problems

My HydroTec built motor that only has 155 hours on it blew another piston this morning ,this time it was #6, first time this happened the motor only had 99 hours on it and it was #2.
The problem is the top ring, the pin that holds the ring in place is moving and allowing the ring to rotate untill it gets in the exhaust port then it's all over.

Does anyone have a clue why this is happening?

The two times this has hapened is when I'm getting up on pad, I hear a ticking sound and shut it down, the rest is history. motor is turnning no more than 3800 rpm's when it go's.

This is a 2.6 liter Phase III.

Re: Piston problems

Is a HydroTec built motor even a Yamaha?
